“When Hilde Back, a holocaust survivor and a refuge in Sweden, sponsored a young, rural Kenyan student back in the 1970’s, she thought nothing of it. She paid roughly $15 dollars per three months to keep Chris in primary school. Chris went all the way to Harvard and is now a respected human rights lawyer for the United Nations. As a thank you, Chris decided to replicate Hilde’s generosity by starting a scholarship program of his own. He named it the Hilde Back Education Fund and sponsors a new generation of kids in Kenya." (A Small Act, 2010)
